Girls Are Christmas Cakes – 女の子はクリスマスケーキ

以前いぜん友人ゆうじんの男おとこの子こから、「女おんなの子こはクリスマスケーキだから、そろそろ急いそいだほうがいいよ。」と言いわれた。初はじめは、なんのことを言いっているのだろうと不思議ふしぎに思おもったが、その後ごの話はなしから、彼かれが私わたしの年齢ねんれいをからかっていることに気きがついた。

A while ago a male friend told me: “Girls are Christmas cakes, so you should hurry up.” At first I wondered what he was talking about, later after the conversation I realized he was making fun of my age.

日本にほんでは、女性じょせいは30歳さいを過すぎて独身どくしんであると、かなり片身かたみの狭せまい思おもいをする。インターネットでは独女どくじょなどという言葉ことばも現あらわれた。最近さいきんは年上としうえ好ずきの男性だんせいもいるが、日本にほんのほとんどの男性だんせいは、若わかい女おんなの子こが好すきである。そうすると、30過すぎの女性じょせいは益々ますます結婚けっこんが遠とおのくのである。

In Japan, if a woman is single after 30 years old, she feels quite ashamed. The word “Dokujo”(single lonely women) appeared on the Internet. Recently there are some men who like older women, but most of Japanese men prefer younger girls. In that case, for women who are over 30, the chance of getting married slips away.

私わたしの友人ゆうじんの男おとこの子こが言いうには、「クリスマスは25日にちでしょ。だからケーキが一番いちばんおいしいのは25日にち。女おんなの子こだと25歳さいの時ときが一番いちばん可愛かわいいときだよね。ケーキはクリスマスが過すぎると、値崩ねくずれして安やすく買かわれたり、最後さいごは腐くさっちゃうでしょ。女おんなの子こも一緒いっしょだよね。」

My male friend  explained: “Christmas is on the 25th, right? So that’s when the cake tastes the best. For girls, 25 years old is when they are the most beautiful. After Christmas the price of the cake collapses, you can buy it for cheap, after that it rots. It’s the same for girls.”

もちろんこれを聞きいて私わたしは憤慨ふんがいした。冗談じょうだんとはいえ、腹立はらだたしい。「私わたしは仕事しごとがしたいのよ。それに25で結婚けっこんなんて早はやすぎる。」と声こえを大だいにして言いってやった。

I was of course so furious when I heard this. Even though it was a joke, I was irritated. “I want to continue my career! Besides getting married at 25 is too early.” I insisted.

最近さいきんは仕事しごとをバリバリする女性じょせいが増ふえ、30歳さいを過すぎても独身どくしんで働はたらいている女性じょせいが多おおい。男性だんせいよりも出世しゅっせしている女性じょせいも多おおい。女おんなの子こは若わかいほうがいい、というバカな妄想もうそうにとりつかれている日本男子にほんだんしは、そろそろ現実げんじつに目めを向むけるべき時ときが来きている。

Recently there are more and more women who work hard, and there are a lot of single women who work even though they are over 30 years old and also many women get higher promotion than men. Now the time has come for Japanese men who stupidly believe younger girls are better to face the reality.

Woman: 28.8 years old

男おとこは結婚けっこんが遅おくくても、年下女とししたおんなからモテていいよね。ケッ。

Even if boys are late to get married, they can be popular among younger girls. Damn!
