Damage Of The Cheap Yen – 円安のダメージ

12月がつの終おわりから先週せんしゅうまで夫おっとの家族かぞくに会あうためにフランスを訪おとずれた。夫おっとと私わたしは去年きょねんの11月がつに結婚けっこんし、今年ことしの4月がつに結婚式けっこんしきをフランスで挙あげる予定よていだ。

I visited France to meet my husband’s family from the end of December until last week. My husband and I got married last November and we are going to have our wedding ceremony in France next April.

この旅行りょこうの前まえに、円えんをユーロに両替りょうがえするために銀行ぎんこうへ行いった。そこで、円えんが前まえの年としに比くらべてかなり安やすくなってしまったことにとてもショックを受うけた。たいていは円えんが安やすくなっていると気きがつく機会きかいはそんなに無ないのだが、海外かいがいに行いくときはいつも円えんの価値かちを実感じっかんする。

Before this trip, I went to the bank to exchange some Yen to Euro. There, I was shocked to see that the Yen had become quite cheap, compared to last year. Usually I don’t have so many occasions to realize the Yen becomes cheap, but every time I go abroad, I really feel the value of the Yen.

ア ベノミクスのおかげで、円安えんやすになり日本にほん経済けいざいが成長せいちょう中ちゅうであるとよく耳みみにする。しかし、給料きゅうりょうが上あがったという話はなしはほとんどだれからも聞かない。安部あべ総理そうりはも うすぐ増税ぞうぜいをする計画けいかくを立たてているが、私達わたしたちの収入しゅうにゅうはそう簡単かんたんに増ふえないだろう。私わたしは増税ぞうぜい自体じたいには賛成さんせいだが、それは私達わたしたちがもっと給料きゅうりょうを得えることができたら、の場合ばあいで ある。

I often hear that, thanks to Abenomics, the Yen became cheap and the Japanese economy is growing. However, I hardly hear anybody saying they got a salary rise. The prime minister Abe is planning to rise taxes soon, but I guess our incomes won’t increase so easily. I can agree with a tax rise itself, but only in the case our salaries go up too.

とにかく、この４月がつにフランスに戻もどらなければいけないので、また両替りょうがえに行いかなければならない。私達わたしたちがフランスに行いくまでにもう少すこし円高えんだかになっていてほしいものである。

Anyway we have to go back to France in April, so I will have to go exchange money again. I hope that the the Yen will become a little bit stronger by the time we go to France.
