Hair Salon – 美容院

海外出張かいがいしゅっちょうから帰国きこくした先週せんしゅう、久ひさしぶりに美容院びよういんへ行いった。私わたしの髪かみの毛けは背中せなかの真まん中なかほどの長さがさまで伸のび、涼すずしいイギリスから帰国きこくした私わたしは、日本にほんの暑あつさにうんざりして、究極きゅうきょくに髪かみの毛けを切きりたい気持きもちになった。

Last week I came back to Japan from my business trip, I went to a hair salon, it had been a while. My hair was reaching the middle of my back and I really wanted to cut my hair as I was coming back from the UK with its cool weather and I was getting tired of the heat in Japan.

近所きんじょに最近さいきんできた美容院びよういんに行いくと、人当ひとあたりの良よさそうなチャラチャラした男おとこの美容師びようしさんが私わたしを担当たんとうしてくれた。
美容院びよういんでの楽たのしみはというと、多おおくの種類しゅるいの雑誌ざっしを読よむことである。普段自分ふだんじぶんでは買かわない種類しゅるいのファッション雑誌ざっしが美容院びよういんにはたくさんあるので、いつも私わたしは出来できるだけ雑誌ざっしを読よむようにしている。

I went to a hair salon that opened recently in the neighborhood, some hairstylist who looked sociable and chatty was in charge of cutting my hair. My favorite thing about hair salon is that I can read many kinds of magazines. There are various types of fashion magazines which I usually don’t buy myself, so I always try to read as many magazines as possible.

しかし、今回こんかいはそうはいかなかった。美容師びようしさんがおしゃべりすぎたのである。大抵たいてい、美容師びようしさんはこちらが雑誌ざっしを読よみたそうにしていると、そんなに話はなしかけてこないものだが、今回こんかいの美容師びようしさんは違ちがった。話はなしかけられて無視むしするわけにもいかないので、仕方しかたなく話はなしをしていたら、彼かれが髪かみを切きり終おえた時ときには、私わたしは結局けっきょく１冊さつの雑誌ざっしも読よみ終おえることが出来できなかった。

But this time was different. Because the hairstylist was too talkative. Usually when the hairstylist realizes you just want to read magazine, he doesn’t talk to you so much, but that hairstylist was different: I couldn’t ignore him as he was talking to me and I didn’t have any other choice than talking to him; after he completed my haircut I hadn’t even finished one magazine in the end.

これでカットが下手へただったら、こんな美容院びよういんには２度どと来こないのだが、カットは上出来じょうでき、髪型かみがたには大満足だいまんぞくだった。
雑誌ざっしは読よめないけど、腕うでの良よい美容院びよういん。次回じかいも行いってしまうかもしれない。

In this situation, should the haircut have been bad, I would not have come to this place ever again, but the haircut was very good and I was really satisfied with my hairstyle.
It’s a hair salon where I can’t read magazines but where the staff is skillful. I might go there next time.
